Discovery® BIO Gel Filtration Columns
Ideal for size exclusion separations of small molecules to large virus particles, Discovery BIO GFC particles comprise a uniform, nanometer-thick layer of hydrophilic film chemically bonded to high purity silica for maximum inertness. The spherical silica particles of the Discovery BIO GFC 100, 150, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000 packings have nominal pore sizes of 100 Å, 150 Å, 300 Å, 500 Å, 1000 Å, and 2000 Å, respectively. Their specially designed large pore volume (~1.35 mL/g for Discovery BIO GFC 150, 300 and 500 and ~1.0 mL/g for Discovery BIO GFC 100, 1000 and 2000) enables high separation capacity and high resolution. Discovery BIO GFC columns are packed with a proprietary slurry technique to achieve uniform and stable packing bed density for maximum column efficiency and reproducibility.
