This unmodified spherical silica support presents an intermediate average pore size of 150 Å. Consequently, the surface area is lower than the 100 Å pore size equivalent.

The pore size of this silica support is intermediate, 150 Å, which separates larger molecules than its 100 Å equivalent. The lower surface area of this phase allows compounds to have shorter retention times on the column
