Chromenta KH-Diol columns have similar polarity to silica HILIC. Its hydrophilic and neutral stationary phase bonding ensures a good recovery for peptides and proteins.
- Improved peak shape than bare silica due to partial blocking of silanol groups
- Less irreversible adsorption than bare silica HILIC columns
- Orthogonal selectivity to reversed phase
- But, diol-silica are less stable than bare silica, column bleeding may occur under acidic conditions.
