- The main application area of this packing is in pharmaceutical industry where analytes often have basic or acidic groups
- In comparison to ProntoSIL C18 ace-EPS ProntoSIL C8 ace-EPS shows even a higher polar selectivity. Due to the shorter alkyl chain the influence of the polar group in the contribution to the retention mechanism of the stationary phase is increased
