Ascentis RP-Amide

by Sigma Aldrich

Ascentis® RP-Amide HPLC Column
3 μm particle size, L × I.D. 10 cm × 1.0 mm

Ascentis®
We have placed heavy emphasis on optimizing Ascentis phases with relation to the three terms of the resolution equation: efficiency, retention and selectivity. However, our strongest emphasis has been on the most powerful term, selectivity. Together, Ascentis bonded phases have a wide range of selectivities. It is likely that one or more Ascentis phase will accomplish any small molecule HPLC separation. Packed in micro- to preparative hardware dimensions, Ascentis products cover all HPLC application areas, including the most sensitive trace-level analyses.

Ascentis RP-Amide
Suitable for L60 per USP

Features and Benefits
Excellent retention and peak shape for polar compounds
100% aqueous compatibility
• Ultra low bleed, LC-MS compatible
• Unique selectivity

The Ascentis family of columns is the fourth generation of HPLC column technology from Supelco scientists. Ascentis columns are bonded on high purity, 100 Angstrom silica including 3, 5, and 10 micron particle size. Columns are designed for small molecule applications and are scalable from micro columns (1.0 mm I.D.) to preparative dimensions (50 mm I.D.). The family includes C18, C8, Phenyl, Si and embedded polar group phase, RP-Amide.

Ascentis RP-Amide is a new generation ultra low bleed, embedded polar group (EPG) phase that provides orthogonal selectivity and increased resolution for HPLC and LC-MS analysis of polar compounds. The Ascentis RP-Amide is the first choice in embedded polar group HPLC phases.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
No other-Vendor Brand family with the same Mode and Modification meets the comparable-data and similarity thresholds.
