Ascentis Express F5

by Sigma Aldrich

Ascentis® Express F5 HPLC Column
2.7 μm particle size, L × I.D. 10 cm × 2.1 mm

Ascentis® Express F5 HPLC Column
The pentafluorophenylpropyl (PFP) stationary phase of Ascentis™ Express F5 provides a stable, reversed-phase packing with electron-deficient phenyl rings due to the presence of electronegative fluorines. In addition to forming p-p and mildly steric interactions, F5 phases also retain compounds by polar interactions. As a result of having both polar and non-polar character, F5 phases can show dual-mode retention behavior, sometimes producing a “U-shaped” retention as a function of acetonitrile content of the mobile phase, with retention increasing at both low and high concentrations of ACN (reversed-phase and HILIC retention modes). Ascentis Express F5 can be used for basic, acidic, or neutral compounds with alternate selectivity from C18.

Similar columns from other manufacturers to Ascentis Express F5

Up to 10 unique Brand families from other Vendors with the same Mode and the same Modification.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
No other-Vendor Brand family with the same Mode and Modification meets the comparable-data and similarity thresholds.
