Inertsil ODS-EP

by GL Sciences

Inertsil Inertsil ODS-EP (Embedded Polar)

  • Polar functional group embedded between silica and C18 chain
  • Unique selectivity compared with standard C18 columns
  • Compatible with 100% aqueous eluents
  • Excellent peak shape for acid and basic compounds
  • Ideal for LC/MS applications

Inertsil ODS-EP contains a polar functional group embedded between the silica surface and the C18 group. The embedded polar group makes the C18 phase stable in 100% aqueous eluents without "phase collapse." This phase is also extremely "base deactivated" and provides superior peak shape for acids and bases in organic eluents as well as acidified eluents typically used in LC/MS.
Inertsil ODS-EP is available in 5 micron particle size in column configurations ranging from capillary to 50mm ID preparative sizes.
The Inertsil 3-series represents a major advance in performance over the original Inertsil 2-Series. Inertsil 3-Series phases, including ODS-3, ODS-3V, ODS-P, ODS-SPRINT , C8-3, Ph-3, CN-3, NH2, Diol, and SIL-100A°, are based on a purer, higher surface area silica which is specially manufactured to provide maximum bonded phase coverage. The result is a series of columns which provide excellent peak shapes using simple eluents while operating at low pressure.
Inertsil phases are known to provide excellent results and long column life at pH levels of 9-10. However, optimum column life may be achieved at a pH between 2 and 7.5.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
