SiliaChrom XDB C8

by SiliCYCLE

SiliaChrom® Narrow Bore HPLC Columns XDB C8

SiliaChrom - XDB C18 and C8 are specially designed to present high pore size and low surface area for the separation of large hydrophobic molecules. The relatively low surface area allows a shorter retention time for that kind of compounds. SiliaChrom XDB C18 and C8 present the lowest carbon loading of  all SiliaChrom HPLC series. SiliaChrom XDB phases are ideal for separation of barbiturates, fat-soluble vitamins, fatty acids and steroïds.

SiliaChrom® XDB C8 presents the same bonded phase as the SiliaChrom XDB 1 C18 and XDB1 C18-300. The pore size of the silica support is intermediate, 150 Å, which allows to separate larger molecules than its 100 Å equivalent. The lower surface associated allows compounds to have shorter retention times. SiliaChrom XDB C18 is an excellent equivalent to Hypersil BDS-C18 and Zorbax XDB-C18.

Specific columns from up to 10 families from other manufacturers with the same Mode and Modification. Compare a column to see its recorded specifications alongside this column.

How similarity is calculated
The percentage compares the two specific columns shown, using Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). Missing values are excluded. At least three criteria and 50% of the total weight must be available to show a score. Open Compare Column for every contribution and the calculation. Mode is a required discovery filter; length and internal diameter do not affect the score. Recommendations retain the family discovery rules. An eligible sponsor may appear first and is labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
