Strong Cation Exchanger support has a polyamide coating containing sulfopropyl functional groups, bonded to a 6-7µ, 300Å, silica. Ionization of the functional groups on this bonded phase is constant above pH 3. S-300 columns are a good choice for the separation of basic proteins.
