Acclaim Explosives E2

by Dionex

The Acclaim® Explosives E1 and E2 columns are 5 μm silica-based reversed-phase columns designed to resolve all 14 explosives listed in EPA SW-846 Method 8330: Nitroaromatics and Nitramines by HPLC.Their unique chemistries deliver superior resolution with complementary selectivities. The E1 is recommended for use as a direct replacement for ODS columns for the primary analysis. The E2 may be used as either a primary or a confirmatory column.

  • Two columns, each offering baseline resolution of all 14 compounds targeted by EPA Method 8330
  • Mutually-complementary selectivity
  • Simple, isocratic elution conditions
  • Rugged columns with good lot-to-lot reproducibility
  • Unique selectivities for separating other nitroaromatic molecules

The Acclaim Explosives stationary phases are based on 5 μm ultrahigh purity spherical silica gel particles, with 120Å pore size. The unique chemistry of these columns offers exceptional selectivity and stability over the range of pH 3.0 to 7.0, and their design ensures good column life and easy cleanup.

While both columns perform reproducibly under their optimized conditions, separation conditions for the Acclaim Explosives E2 can be readily changed to accommodate inclusion of additional explosives compounds.

The manufacturing process is controlled to ensure that every Explosives column delivers reproducible performance, lot-to-lot and column-to-column. The columns are tested for baseline resolution of all 14 explosives.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
No other-Vendor Brand family with the same Mode and Modification meets the comparable-data and similarity thresholds.
