IonPac AS18

by Dionex

The IonPac® AS18 anion-exchange column is the hydroxide-selective column of choice for compliance monitoring of inorganic anions in drinking water and wastewater samples in accordance with US EPA Methods 300.0 (A) and 300.1.

The new IonPac AS18-Fast columns offer the same selectivity as the AS18 analytical scale columns, but with a reduced length of 150 mm, these columns can separate the common inorganic anions in significantly less time. The capillary format offers the advantage of reduced eluent consumption, thereby lowering operating costs.

  • Fast separation of the common inorganic anions (4 min) using the AS18-Fast columns
  • Recommended hydroxide-selective column for inorganic anions in diverse sample matrices
  • Isocratic separation of common inorganic anions in 9 minutes
  • Inorganic anion and low-molecular weight organic acids in complex sample matrices
  • Superior retention and quantification of fluoride, acetate, and formate
  • Meets performance requirements specified in US EPA Method 300.0 (A)

The  IonPac AS18 column can determine inorganic anions and low-molecular-weight organic acids in a variety of sample matrices. This column has excellent retention of fluoride from the water dip. It is approved for compliance monitoring of inorganic anions in drinking water and wastewater samples in accordance with US EPA Methods 300.0 and 300.1. The AS18 column is now available in capillary format providing the advantage of reduced eluent consumption, thereby lowering operating costs.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
