Xbridge C8

by WATERS

The XBridge™ column family is designed for maximum method development flexibility. Develop robust methods across the entire pH spectrum using an unparalleled range of mobile phases and temperatures.

XBridge columns provide consistent performance and extended lifetime under even the most demanding conditions. Developed with revolutionary technology and the highest levels of manufacturing and quality assurance, they are a trusted solution for your most challenging chromatographic separations.

Features:

  • HPLC to UPLC® method transfer
  • pH lifetime and reliability
  • Preparative performance

Created with identical manufacturing processes, XBridge™ and ACQUITY UPLC® columns’ BEH Technology™ materials differ only by particle size, allowing for seamless methods transfer and the fastest route to an optimized LC method.

XBridge™ columns are the most pH stable high-performance chromatographic phases commercially available. Unlike approaches that claim high-pH resistance due to special surface modifications, XBridge columns have stability built in as part of the particle synthetic process.

The XBridge BEH C8 sorbent is less retentive compared to the XBridge BEH C18 sorbent. Anyone developing methods may prefer the speed offered by a less retentive column, while improving peak shape and chromatographic performance. The trifunctionally bonded sorbent offers you the widest usable pH range (1-12), superior low pH stability, and ultra-low column bleed.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
No other-Vendor Brand family with the same Mode and Modification meets the comparable-data and similarity thresholds.
