Xselect C18

by WATERS

XSelect™ HPLC columns are the next evolutionary step in Waters LC column technology. Based on Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH™) Technology, this HPLC column family offers the widest range of selectivity choices and superior peak shape improvements for basic compounds when operated in acidic, low ionic strength mobile phases (e.g., 0.1% formic acid).   XSelect OBD™ Prep columns offer extremely high mass loading under low ionic strength acidic conditions and raise the performance bar for lab-scale isolation and purification columns.

Responding to input received at many customer forums, Waters has developed the next evolution of particle technology: Charged Surface Hybrid (CSHTM) Technology.

Advantages of CSH Technology include:

  • Superior peak shape for basic compounds
  • Increased loading capacity
  • Rapid column equilibration after changing mobile-phase pH
  • Improved batch-to-batch reproducibility
  • Excellent stability at low pH

XSelect CSH C18 columns can be used as general purpose columns that provide alternative selectivity compared to other C18 sorbents. Charged Surface Hybrid (CSH) technology helps you overcome column related problems such as peak shape asymmetry and poor loading for basic compounds, column bleed, and slow mobile-phase re-equilibration.

Similar columns from other manufacturers to Xselect C18

Up to 10 unique Brand families from other Vendors with the same Mode and the same Modification.

How similarity is calculated
Eligible families receive a weighted score from Modification (25%), Product Usage (20%), Carbon Load (15%), Endcapping (10%), Pore Size (10%), Surface Area (8%), pH Stability (8%) and Particle Size (4%). The score uses data available in both families and requires at least three comparable criteria, at least 50% data coverage and a minimum 55% score. A relevant active sponsor may appear first and is always labelled Sponsored.
A similarity score does not guarantee identical selectivity or performance. Confirm suitability under the intended method conditions.
No other-Vendor Brand family with the same Mode and Modification meets the comparable-data and similarity thresholds.
