ZORBAX Original Reversed-Phase HPLC Columns   
 
 ZORBAX Original Reversed-Phase columns are made with Type A silica and are useful for many separations of acidic or neutral compounds. These columns have a higher activity level and are therefore useful for separating isomers (e.g. cis-trans, geometric) or other compounds where silanol activity enhances selectivity. These columns are used in many established methods. 

  • High surface area (300 m²/g, 20% carbon load for C18) gives added retention
  • Uses the original ZORBAX SIL support, monolayer silane bonding, and single endcapping for deactivation of silanol groups
  • High-strength porous silica microsphere technology allows high pressure packing and high plate counts (16,000 - 20,000 plates/ 4.6 x 250mm column)
  • Low backpressure due to narrow particle size distribution
  • In-house silica manufacture insures reproducibility
